Rachel Podger (born 1968 ) is an English violinist and conductor specialising in the performance of Baroque music.  She formed Brecon Baroque as the resident ensemble for the festival she established in the town in 2007, calling on an international lineup of baroque specialist performers. Acclaim for their recent debut recording of JS Bach’s instrumental concertos has been further reflection of their success. This recording on  Hybrid SACD – DSD features Bach’s double and triple concertos performed and directed by virtuoso Rachel Podger and her dynamic and highly polished chamber ensemble-Brecon Baroque.
