British-Australian pianist Stephen Hough wrote in his blog, said that his 5 foot 8 inch Blüthner piano dating from approximately 1922 would be going under the hammer on June 13th at midday. He described the instrument as having “ivory keys and a golden tone”. As an enthusiastic piano auction attendee in the past, Hough also said that he once managed to buy a square piano “to use as a table for painting.” Regarding the sale of his own piano, Hough added: “I’m hoping that there are no spiders, alive or dead, hidden under the dampers of my piano as the hammer goes down.” You can see this Piano Auctions through the Company website>>>
