Electrola was a record label founded in Berlin in 1925 by the Gramophone Company. In March 1931 Electrola, along with its parent label and Carl Lindström Company parent Columbia Graphophone Company, merged to form the Electric & Musical Industries Ltd. (EMI). Edda Moser (born 27 October 1938) is a German soprano. She was particularly well known for her interpretations of music by Mozart, and she maintained an extensive repertoire, singing both dramatic coloratura and lirico spinto roles. Edda Moser and EMI-Electrola had presented a special chapter in the history of recorded music. This 10 CD edition paints a many-faceted and personal portrait of the great soprano.
