Deutsche Grammophon has launched a new crossover imprint called ‘Panorama’. Its first release will be from German electronica group, Schiller. ‘Panorama is Deutsche Grammophon’s new “innovation lab”,’ said Frank Briegmann, president of Central Europe Universal Music and Deutsche Grammophon. ‘The label will create new soundworlds, touching the borders and pushing the boundaries of the classical music genre. There is no doubt in my mind: once people have experienced stars like Anna Netrebko, Hélène Grimaud and Albrecht Mayer on recordings such as Opus, they will be inspired by their art.’
Creator of Schiller, Christopher von Deylen (see above), said: ‘Opus blends classical melodies with electronica sounds, making it a perfect entrée to the Panorama portfolio.’
