The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is teaming up with Westminster Music Library in London for ‘Behind the Lines’, a large-scale programme of musical activities focusing on British composers and music of the First World War. Taking place across Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea for 12 months starting in September 2013, a number of outreach events will commemorate the centenary of World War I in 2014 by focusing on composers such as Elgar, Vaughan Williams, Butterworth, Bliss and Holst.
