The 27-year-old Russian pianist Dmitry Masleev has won 2015 International Tchaikovsky piano Competition.
The young Russian was one of the audience’s favourites during the final rounds of the competition in Moscow. In his final performance he played Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto and Prokofiev’s Third Concerto. Second prize went jointly to Lukas Geniusas and George Li.
The winners were announced at a ceremony in Moscow on Wednesday 1 July.
