The  6-CD box-set collection records Mahler’s most remarkable works,  includes Klemperer’s interpretations of Mahler’s Symphonies 2, 4, 7 & 9 / Das Lied von der Erde, famous for their ‘big outlines’ and ‘rock-like rhythms’ (Musical Times). German conductor Otto Klemperer (14 May 1885 – 6 July 1973)  is widely regarded as one of the leading conductors of the 20th century, he regarded Mahler as his the best he ever saw and although eternally grateful, his recordings of Mahler’s “Resurrection” Symphony (No. 2), Symphony No, 9 and Das Lied von der Erde in particular  have always been ranked as of the highest rank  at his age.
