The recording sessions for the concert album are taking place this week at London’s Abbey Road studios, with composer Nobuo Uematsu in attendance to supervise the album’s production.

As Howard Goodall announced on Classic FM’s Saturday Night at the Movies (in a video games music special), the album is due to be released in early 2015.
Uematsu commented on the landmark collaboration: “To work with the London Symphony Orchestra in a studio that has played host to many of my own personal musical heroes will be a very special experience.”
